stands for offering help and support.<br \/>\nWe help orphaned children from Russia, Ukraine, and Uganda.<br \/>\nThese children have no parents.<br \/>\nThey live in orphanages.<br \/>\nThese children often have problems.<br \/>\nThey are not well cared for.<br \/>\nIf they have a disability, they often do not get therapy<br \/>\nor special medical check-ups.<\/p>\n<p>At school, the children need extra help.<br \/>\nThe children with disabilities do not go to school.<br \/>\nThey get lessons in the orphanage.<br \/>\nBut these lessons are very simple.<\/p>\n<p>The children in the orphanages have no parents.<br \/>\nThey are cared for.<br \/>\nBut they have no one who is there just for them.<\/p>\n<p>We help these children.<br \/>\nWe know the problems on site in Russia, Ukraine and Uganda.<br \/>\nWe have partners in these countries.<br \/>\nWith these partners, we can help the children.<br \/>\nWe help the children so they have a good future.<br \/>\nOrphaned children in Russia, Ukraine and Uganda are close to our hearts.<br \/>\nWe stand up for them.<\/p>\n<p>We reach out a hand to the orphaned children.<br \/>\nWe take their hand and help them.<br \/>\nWe are happy when you support us.<br \/>\nIf you also give your hand to the orphaned children.<\/p>\n<p>Become a member of our non-profit organisation.<br \/>\nOr donate money for the orphaned children.<br \/>\nWe appreciate any support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Orphaned children in and from Ukraine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a war in Ukraine.<br \/>\nThat is why many people need help.<br \/>\nOrphaned children are especially affected.<br \/>\nAnd children with disabilities need help.<br \/>\nWe help these children in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>We have partners in Ukraine.<br \/>\nWe work together with these partners.<\/p>\n<p>Many orphanages in Ukraine have been closed.<br \/>\nThat means: The children were taken away from their homes.<br \/>\nThat means: The children were evacuated.<br \/>\nThey go to other orphanages.<br \/>\nThese orphanages are also in Ukraine.<br \/>\nBut it is not the children\u2019s home.<\/p>\n<p>In the new orphanages, the children live in large groups.<br \/>\nThis is hard for the children.<br \/>\nIt is also hard for the people who take care of them.<br \/>\nWe have a team of psychologists.<br \/>\nThey support the children in the orphanages.<\/p>\n<p>We have also brought children from Ukraine to Germany.<br \/>\nThese children came from three orphanages.<br \/>\nThe children are now safe.<br \/>\nIn Germany, we support the children at school.<br \/>\nBecause some children with disabilities did not go to school before.<\/p>\n<p>Aid programs for children from Ukraine:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHelp Bridge\u201d<br \/>\nHelp Bridge is a program for orphaned children in need.<br \/>\nFor children in orphanages in Ukraine.<br \/>\nWe organize help for the children on site in Ukraine.<br \/>\nThese children are traumatized.<br \/>\nThis means:<br \/>\nThe children have lost their parents.<br \/>\nThe children are scared.<br \/>\nThey do not know: What will happen to them?<br \/>\nWe help these children.<br \/>\nThey get psychological help.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Mentors&#8221;<br \/>\nMentors for orphaned children<br \/>\nMore than 80 children and young people with disabilities had to leave Ukraine.<br \/>\nThat was in 2022.<br \/>\nThey are orphaned children.<br \/>\nThese orphaned children now live in Germany.<br \/>\nThey live at the Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk in Ursberg (Germany).<br \/>\nThey need help.<br \/>\nWe support these children with mentors.<br \/>\nA mentor helps the children in their daily life.<br \/>\nA mentor gives the children attention.<br \/>\nA mentor helps the children to trust other people.<br \/>\nThe relationship with a mentor helps the children.<br \/>\nThey can tell their experiences.<br \/>\nThey are allowed to be sad. They are allowed to cry. They are allowed to be angry.<br \/>\nWith a mentor, they can process these experiences.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for mentors.<br \/>\nAbout 30 children and young people need a mentor.<br \/>\nThe children are between 6 and 22 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Would you like to support these children and young people?<br \/>\nAre you interested in the role of a mentor?<br \/>\nWe will gladly give you more information.<br \/>\nHere you can apply online:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/8HnjqccGLXUD2yW19\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/8HnjqccGLXUD2yW19<\/a> (link to application)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Door to the Future&#8221;<br \/>\nEducation for orphaned children<br \/>\nThe orphaned children from Ukraine want to go to school here in Germany.<br \/>\nBut they did not go to school in Ukraine yet.<br \/>\nBecause of their disability.<br \/>\nWe support these children.<br \/>\nWe prepare them for school.<br \/>\nWe pay for their special support.<\/p>\n<p>The children and young people need people who help them.<br \/>\nThese are mentors.<\/p>\n<p>We care especially for these children.<br \/>\nBecause school and education are important for orphaned children from Ukraine.<br \/>\nSchool and education open the door to their future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Orphaned children in Russia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Right now, it is difficult to help orphaned children in Russia.<br \/>\nBut we can support some orphaned children and foster children.<br \/>\nWe have been helping these children for a long time..<br \/>\nFor this, we have partners on site in Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Aid program for orphaned children in Russia:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You are not alone&#8221;<br \/>\nHealth care for orphaned children<br \/>\nWe support orphaned children with disabilities in Russia.<br \/>\nThey get help with medical care.<br \/>\nThey get help with rehabilitation.<br \/>\nWe support them when they need to go to a hospital.<br \/>\nThen they get someone to accompany them during their hospital stay.<br \/>\nSo the children are not alone.<br \/>\nThey do not need to be afraid<br \/>\nWe provide orphaned children with care supplies<br \/>\nand with aid supplies For example, a wheelchair.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Door to the Future&#8221;<br \/>\nEducation for orphaned youth<br \/>\nOrphaned youth often cannot find families to adopt them.<br \/>\nThis is because of their age.<br \/>\nWe support these young people.<br \/>\nSo that they can get an education.<br \/>\nBecause education is the door to their future.<br \/>\nWe help them with the costs of<br \/>\n\u2013 extra support,<br \/>\n\u2013 tutoring at school,<br \/>\n\u2013 exam preparation,<br \/>\n\u2013 career advice.<br \/>\nThis way, we strengthen their self-confidence<br \/>\nand their independence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the Crossroads\u201d<br \/>\nHelp for young adult orphans in need<br \/>\nYoung adult orphans in Russia often face difficulties.<br \/>\nThey fall into hardship.<br \/>\nWe support these young people.<br \/>\nWe cover part of the costs for<br \/>\n\u2013 food,<br \/>\n\u2013 housing,<br \/>\n\u2013 health care,<br \/>\n\u2013 legal assistance.<br \/>\nWe especially support young pregnant women and young mothers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the family circle&#8221;<br \/>\nHelp for foster children with disabilities<br \/>\nOrphaned children with disabilities often cannot find a family in Russia.<br \/>\nThere are only a few families who take these children in.<br \/>\nThis task is difficult.<br \/>\nThis task costs money.<br \/>\nWe support foster children with disabilities.<br \/>\nAnd the families who take them in. Or those who adopt them.<br \/>\nWe help cover costs.<br \/>\nThese are costs for medical treatments. Or rehabilitation.<br \/>\nWe also support a \u201cvideo passport\u201d for these children.<br \/>\nIn the video passport, they are introduced.<br \/>\nWith this video passport, families can get to know them better.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Orphaned children in Uganda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Orphaned children in Uganda often do not go to school.<br \/>\nBecause they do not have money.<br \/>\nWe support these children.<br \/>\nWe pay for their education costs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Earthquake children<br \/>\nLocation: Turkey<\/p>\n<p>In February 2023, there was a severe earthquake in Turkey.<br \/>\nMany people died.<br \/>\nMany were injured.<br \/>\nThey lost their homes.<br \/>\nMany children live with their families in container settlements.<br \/>\nOr they have become orphans.
