Non-profit organisation “Take my hand”<\/h1><\/div>

Our non-profit organisation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Julia and Ali Beisenov founded the non-profit organization Take my hand in 2022.
\nThey started the organization together with friends.
\nJulia and Ali came to Germany in 2002.
\nBefore that, they lived in Kazakhstan.
\nIn 2015, they adopted a child with a disability from Russia.<\/p>\n

“Take my hand” stands for offering help and support.
\nWe help orphaned children from Russia, Ukraine, and Uganda.
\nThese children have no parents.
\nThey live in orphanages.
\nThese children often have problems.
\nThey are not well cared for.
\nIf they have a disability, they often do not get therapy
\nor special medical check-ups.<\/p>\n

At school, the children need extra help.
\nThe children with disabilities do not go to school.
\nThey get lessons in the orphanage.
\nBut these lessons are very simple.<\/p>\n

The children in the orphanages have no parents.
\nThey are cared for.
\nBut they have no one who is there just for them.<\/p>\n

We help these children.
\nWe know the problems on site in Russia, Ukraine and Uganda.
\nWe have partners in these countries.
\nWith these partners, we can help the children.
\nWe help the children so they have a good future.
\nOrphaned children in Russia, Ukraine and Uganda are close to our hearts.
\nWe stand up for them.<\/p>\n

We reach out a hand to the orphaned children.
\nWe take their hand and help them.
\nWe are happy when you support us.

Orphaned children in and from Ukraine<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is a war in Ukraine.
\nThat is why many people need help.
\nOrphaned children are especially affected.
\nAnd children with disabilities need help.
\nWe help these children in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

We have partners in Ukraine.
\nWe work together with these partners.<\/p>\n

Many orphanages in Ukraine have been closed.
\nThat means: The children were taken away from their homes.
\nThat means: The children were evacuated.
\nThey go to other orphanages.
\nThese orphanages are also in Ukraine.
\nBut it is not the children\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

In the new orphanages, the children live in large groups.
\nThis is hard for the children.
\nIt is also hard for the people who take care of them.
\nWe have a team of psychologists.
\nThey support the children in the orphanages.<\/p>\n

We have also brought children from Ukraine to Germany.
\nThese children came from three orphanages.
\nThe children are now safe.
\nIn Germany, we support the children at school.
\nBecause some children with disabilities did not go to school before.<\/p>\n

Aid programs for children from Ukraine:<\/p>\n

\u201cHelp Bridge\u201d
\nHelp Bridge is a program for orphaned children in need.
\nFor children in orphanages in Ukraine.
\nWe organize help for the children on site in Ukraine.
\nThese children are traumatized.
\nThis means:
\nThe children have lost their parents.
\nThe children are scared.
\nThey do not know: What will happen to them?
\nWe help these children.
\nThey get psychological help.<\/p>\n

“Mentors”
\nMentors for orphaned children
\nMore than 80 children and young people with disabilities had to leave Ukraine.
\nThat was in 2022.
\nThey are orphaned children.
\nThese orphaned children now live in Germany.
\nThey live at the Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk in Ursberg (Germany).
\nThey need help.
\nWe support these children with mentors.
\nA mentor helps the children in their daily life.
\nA mentor gives the children attention.
\nA mentor helps the children to trust other people.
\nThe relationship with a mentor helps the children.
\nThey can tell their experiences.
\nThey are allowed to be sad. They are allowed to cry. They are allowed to be angry.
\nWith a mentor, they can process these experiences.<\/p>\n

We are looking for mentors.
\nAbout 30 children and young people need a mentor.
\nThe children are between 6 and 22 years old.<\/p>\n

“Door to the Future”
\nEducation for orphaned children
\nThe orphaned children from Ukraine want to go to school here in Germany.
\nBut they did not go to school in Ukraine yet.
\nBecause of their disability.
\nWe support these children.
\nWe prepare them for school.
\nWe pay for their special support.<\/p>\n

The children and young people need people who help them.
\nThese are mentors.<\/p>\n

We care especially for these children.
\nBecause school and education are important for orphaned children from Ukraine.
\nSchool and education open the door to their future.<\/p>\n

Orphaned children in Russia<\/strong><\/p>\n

Right now, it is difficult to help orphaned children in Russia.
\nBut we can support some orphaned children and foster children.
\nWe have been helping these children for a long time..
\nFor this, we have partners on site in Russia.<\/p>\n

Aid program for orphaned children in Russia:<\/p>\n

“You are not alone”
\nHealth care for orphaned children
\nWe support orphaned children with disabilities in Russia.
\nThey get help with medical care.
\nThey get help with rehabilitation.
\nWe support them when they need to go to a hospital.
\nThen they get someone to accompany them during their hospital stay.
\nSo the children are not alone.
\nThey do not need to be afraid
\nWe provide orphaned children with care supplies
\nand with aid supplies For example, a wheelchair.<\/p>\n

“Door to the Future”
\nEducation for orphaned youth
\nOrphaned youth often cannot find families to adopt them.
\nThis is because of their age.
\nWe support these young people.
\nSo that they can get an education.
\nBecause education is the door to their future.
\nWe help them with the costs of
\n\u2013 extra support,
\n\u2013 tutoring at school,
\n\u2013 exam preparation,
\n\u2013 career advice.
\nThis way, we strengthen their self-confidence
\nand their independence.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the Crossroads\u201d
\nHelp for young adult orphans in need
\nYoung adult orphans in Russia often face difficulties.
\nThey fall into hardship.
\nWe support these young people.
\nWe cover part of the costs for
\n\u2013 food,
\n\u2013 housing,
\n\u2013 health care,
\n\u2013 legal assistance.
\nWe especially support young pregnant women and young mothers.<\/p>\n

“In the family circle”
\nHelp for foster children with disabilities
\nOrphaned children with disabilities often cannot find a family in Russia.
\nThere are only a few families who take these children in.
\nThis task is difficult.
\nThis task costs money.
\nWe support foster children with disabilities.
\nAnd the families who take them in. Or those who adopt them.
\nWe help cover costs.
\nThese are costs for medical treatments. Or rehabilitation.
\nWe also support a \u201cvideo passport\u201d for these children.
\nIn the video passport, they are introduced.
\nWith this video passport, families can get to know them better.<\/p>\n

Orphaned children in Uganda<\/strong><\/p>\n

Orphaned children in Uganda often do not go to school.
\nBecause they do not have money.
\nWe support these children.
\nWe pay for their education costs.<\/p>\n

Earthquake children
\nLocation: Turkey<\/p>\n

In February 2023, there was a severe earthquake in Turkey.
\nMany people died.
\nMany were injured.
\nThey lost their homes.
\nMany children live with their families in container settlements.
\nOr they have become orphans. Because they lost their families.
\nWe support these children.
\nTogether with “Be the hope.” This is a German initiative.
\nThis initiative helps people on site.
\nWe have collected donations for these people.
