Project “Earthquake Children”
Location: Turkey
Millions of people suddenly lost their livelihoods due to the devastating earthquake in Turkey in 2023. Families with children were particularly affected. The consequences are still felt in 2024 — reconstruction is ongoing and far from complete.
In autumn 2024, the German initiative “Be the Hope” purchased and delivered 143 school kits for children in a village in Hatay Province. Our organisation, Take my hand e.V., funded about 30 of these through donations collected [report]. With this, we have made a small but important contribution to supporting children in the earthquake-affected area on their educational journey.
