Non-profit organisation “Take my hand”
Our non-profit organisation
Julia and Ali Beisenov founded the non-profit organization Take my hand in 2022.
They started the organization together with friends.
Julia and Ali came to Germany in 2002.
Before that, they lived in Kazakhstan.
In 2015, they adopted a child with a disability from Russia.
“Take my hand” stands for offering help and support.
We help orphaned children from Russia, Ukraine, and Uganda.
These children have no parents.
They live in orphanages.
These children often have problems.
They are not well cared for.
If they have a disability, they often do not get therapy
or special medical check-ups.
At school, the children need extra help.
The children with disabilities do not go to school.
They get lessons in the orphanage.
But these lessons are very simple.
The children in the orphanages have no parents.
They are cared for.
But they have no one who is there just for them.
We help these children.
We know the problems on site in Russia, Ukraine and Uganda.
We have partners in these countries.
With these partners, we can help the children.
We help the children so they have a good future.
Orphaned children in Russia, Ukraine and Uganda are close to our hearts.
We stand up for them.
We reach out a hand to the orphaned children.
We take their hand and help them.
We are happy when you support us.
If you also give your hand to the orphaned children.
Become a member of our non-profit organisation.
Or donate money for the orphaned children.
We appreciate any support.
Orphaned children in and from Ukraine
There is a war in Ukraine.
That is why many people need help.
Orphaned children are especially affected.
And children with disabilities need help.
We help these children in Ukraine.
We have partners in Ukraine.
We work together with these partners.
Many orphanages in Ukraine have been closed.
That means: The children were taken away from their homes.
That means: The children were evacuated.
They go to other orphanages.
These orphanages are also in Ukraine.
But it is not the children’s home.
In the new orphanages, the children live in large groups.
This is hard for the children.
It is also hard for the people who take care of them.
We have a team of psychologists.
They support the children in the orphanages.
We have also brought children from Ukraine to Germany.
These children came from three orphanages.
The children are now safe.
In Germany, we support the children at school.
Because some children with disabilities did not go to school before.
Aid programs for children from Ukraine:
“Help Bridge”
Help Bridge is a program for orphaned children in need.
For children in orphanages in Ukraine.
We organize help for the children on site in Ukraine.
These children are traumatized.
This means:
The children have lost their parents.
The children are scared.
They do not know: What will happen to them?
We help these children.
They get psychological help.
“Mentors”
Mentors for orphaned children
More than 80 children and young people with disabilities had to leave Ukraine.
That was in 2022.
They are orphaned children.
These orphaned children now live in Germany.
They live at the Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk in Ursberg (Germany).
They need help.
We support these children with mentors.
A mentor helps the children in their daily life.
A mentor gives the children attention.
A mentor helps the children to trust other people.
The relationship with a mentor helps the children.
They can tell their experiences.
They are allowed to be sad. They are allowed to cry. They are allowed to be angry.
With a mentor, they can process these experiences.
We are looking for mentors.
About 30 children and young people need a mentor.
The children are between 6 and 22 years old.
Would you like to support these children and young people?
Are you interested in the role of a mentor?
We will gladly give you more information.

“Door to the Future”
Education for orphaned children
The orphaned children from Ukraine want to go to school here in Germany.
But they did not go to school in Ukraine yet.
Because of their disability.
We support these children.
We prepare them for school.
We pay for their special support.
The children and young people need people who help them.
These are mentors.
We care especially for these children.
Because school and education are important for orphaned children from Ukraine.
School and education open the door to their future.
Orphaned children in Russia
Right now, it is difficult to help orphaned children in Russia.
But we can support some orphaned children and foster children.
We have been helping these children for a long time..
For this, we have partners on site in Russia.
Aid program for orphaned children in Russia:
“You are not alone”
Health care for orphaned children
We support orphaned children with disabilities in Russia.
They get help with medical care.
They get help with rehabilitation.
We support them when they need to go to a hospital.
Then they get someone to accompany them during their hospital stay.
So the children are not alone.
They do not need to be afraid
We provide orphaned children with care supplies
and with aid supplies For example, a wheelchair.
“Door to the Future”
Education for orphaned youth
Orphaned youth often cannot find families to adopt them.
This is because of their age.
We support these young people.
So that they can get an education.
Because education is the door to their future.
We help them with the costs of
– extra support,
– tutoring at school,
– exam preparation,
– career advice.
This way, we strengthen their self-confidence
and their independence.
“At the Crossroads”
Help for young adult orphans in need
Young adult orphans in Russia often face difficulties.
They fall into hardship.
We support these young people.
We cover part of the costs for
– food,
– housing,
– health care,
– legal assistance.
We especially support young pregnant women and young mothers.
“In the family circle”
Help for foster children with disabilities
Orphaned children with disabilities often cannot find a family in Russia.
There are only a few families who take these children in.
This task is difficult.
This task costs money.
We support foster children with disabilities.
And the families who take them in. Or those who adopt them.
We help cover costs.
These are costs for medical treatments. Or rehabilitation.
We also support a “video passport” for these children.
In the video passport, they are introduced.
With this video passport, families can get to know them better.
Orphaned children in Uganda
Orphaned children in Uganda often do not go to school.
Because they do not have money.
We support these children.
We pay for their education costs.
Special projects
Earthquake children
Location: Turkey
In February 2023, there was a severe earthquake in Turkey.
Many people died.
Many were injured.
They lost their homes.
Many children live with their families in container settlements.
Or they have become orphans. Because they lost their families.
We support these children.
Together with “Be the hope.” This is a German initiative.
This initiative helps people on site.
We have collected donations for these people.
Children from Germany painted postcards for the children in Turkey.
We collected these postcards.
